Semi Frameless Shower Screens Sydney, Made to Measure and Installed

A semi frameless shower screen gives you most of the clean look of frameless glass, with a slim frame to hold it. The glass is 6mm toughened, the frame comes in six finishes, and we make every screen to your measurements. Prices start from $990 installed. Showerland measures, makes and fits them across Sydney from our Blacktown base, and the work is covered by our 12 month workmanship warranty.

What a semi frameless screen is, and who it suits

The glass sits in a slim frame around the door and panel edges only. You do not get the full aluminium frame of a fully framed screen, so you see more glass and less metal, and the frame stays out of the way of your tiles.

It suits a straightforward bathroom refresh, a rental that needs a tidy upgrade, or a family bathroom where you want a clean look and a door that is easy to live with. If you want no metal around the glass at all, our frameless range is the next step up in look.

Because we cut each screen to your opening, it fits the corner or alcove you actually have, not the one a catalogue assumes. Tiles are rarely perfectly square, and a made to measure screen deals with that where a stock size cannot.

Toughened glass is heat treated for strength, and if it ever does break it breaks into small pieces rather than long shards.

Our semi frameless range

These are the layouts we fit most. Installed prices start from $990, and each layout below is priced on measure once we have your real dimensions.

Corner screen

Two sides of glass meeting at a corner, one of them carrying the door. The usual choice for a standard corner shower. Priced on measure.

One run of glass between two walls with a door set into it, built for an alcove. See the wall to wall semi frameless shower screen. Priced on measure.

Sliding

The door slides on a track, so nothing swings into the room. It is the answer for a narrow bathroom or a vanity that sits in the swing path. See our sliding shower screen options. Priced on measure.

Pivot door

A hinged door that swings out on pivots, for a bathroom with room in front of the shower. A hinged door can be up to 700mm wide, so a wider opening gets a fixed panel beside the door. Priced on measure.

Over bath

Glass fixed to the bath edge for a bath and shower in one. We measure the bath lip and the tap position before anything is cut. See our over bath shower screens. Priced on measure.

Semi frameless shower screen price: from $990 installed

A semi frameless shower screen starts from $990 installed. That is a starting point, not the price of every layout, and three things move it: the size of the opening, the finish, and the type of door.

A tall wall to wall run uses more glass than a small corner, so it costs more. A sliding door and a pivot door carry different hardware, so they are priced differently. The frame finish can also change the figure.

Your exact price comes after we measure. Once we have measured, the price we quote is the price you pay. The measure visit is $55, and that $55 is credited to your install if you go ahead. If you would like a figure before booking the visit, ask for a quote online or call 0421 717 044.

For the other published starting prices, see our shower screen pricing page.

Finishes: six to choose from

The frame comes in chrome, matt black, white, brushed nickel, brass and gun metal. Matt black pairs with black tapware and reads as the most contemporary finish against light tiles. Chrome matches the tapware in most Sydney bathrooms and wipes clean easily. White suits an older bathroom where the fittings are already white. Brushed nickel is a soft silver, brass is a warm gold tone, and gun metal is a dark grey that sits between black and chrome.

Pick the finish to match what is already on the wall: the tapware, the shower rose and the towel rails. Colour looks different in a real bathroom than on a monitor, so the photos here are all real installs.

Semi frameless, frameless or fully framed

The three types differ in how much metal you see and how the glass is held. This is how they compare on our published starting prices.

How it works, from quote to install

  1. Quote. Tell us the type and rough size online or by phone and we give you a figure.
  2. Measure. We come to your bathroom and take exact measurements. We check the walls and floor for plumb and level, the tap position and the tile lines, because those decide how the glass is cut. The visit is $55, credited to your install.
  3. Made to order. Your glass and frame are made to those measurements, in the finish you chose.
  4. Installed. Our installer fits the screen on site, and the installation itself takes about 2 hours once they arrive. The work is covered by our 12 month workmanship warranty.
