Walk In Shower Screens Sydney: Fixed Panel, No Door
A walk in shower screen is a fixed panel of glass with no door. It stops the water on one side and leaves the rest of the shower open, so there is nothing to swing, nothing to clean around and a wide clear way in. Showerland makes every screen to your measurements and fits it across Sydney from our Blacktown base. A frameless fixed panel starts from $880 installed, and our 12 month workmanship warranty covers the installation.

Our walk in options
Every walk in is built round fixed glass. What changes is the glass, the frame and how many pieces your shower needs.
Frameless fixed panel. From $880 installed.
One sheet of 10mm toughened glass fixed to the wall and floor with brackets, and no frame. It is the cleanest and most open look, and the starting point for a walk in. See the frameless fixed panel page.
Fixed panel with a return
Two panels meeting at a corner, one beside the shower head and one closing the end of the shower. It suits a shower wider than one panel can cover, or one where the spray reaches the open end. Priced on measure.
Semi frameless fixed panel
A single panel of 6mm toughened glass with a slim frame, in chrome, matt black, white, brushed nickel, brass or gun metal. Our semi frameless screens start from $990 installed for the type, and a fixed panel is priced on measure.
Fully framed fixed panel
One panel in a full aluminium frame, in white, silver or matt black. Our fully framed screens start from $935 installed for the type, and a fixed panel is priced on measure.

Walk in shower screen sizes
Height. Standard screen height is 2000mm. Taller screens are made to measure on request.
Width. A fixed panel has no door to carry, so the 700mm limit on a hinged door does not apply, and the glass can be cut to the width your shower needs. That width follows the shower head. The spray should land inside the shower, so a head set towards the open side needs wider glass, or a second panel, than one set towards the wall.
Support. Long glass can be steadied with a support bar, a slim metal bar from the top of the glass to the wall. We tell you at the measure if yours needs one.
The floor. Water follows the floor. A shower floor that falls towards the drain keeps the water in, and a floor that falls the wrong way sends it out whatever the glass does. We check the fall and the drain position before anything is cut.
Walk in shower screen price: from $880 installed
A frameless fixed panel starts from $880 installed. That is the price for the type, not for every walk in, and a few things move it: the size of the panel, whether the shower needs a return panel, the finish of the hardware, and a semi frameless or fully framed panel in place of frameless glass. If we are taking an old screen out, removal and disposal is priced in the same quote.
Your exact price comes after we measure. Once we have measured, the price we quote is the price you pay. The measure visit is $55, and that $55 is credited to your install if you go ahead. If you would like a figure before booking the visit, ask for a quote online or call 0421 717 044.
Glass and finishes
Our frameless panels are 10mm toughened glass. Toughened glass is heat treated for strength, and if it ever does break it breaks into small pieces rather than long shards. On most panels the brackets are the only hardware, and they come in chrome, matt black, brushed nickel and brass, so you can match them to your tapware.
Is a walk in shower right for you?
A walk in suits a bathroom where you want an open, uncluttered shower. In a small bathroom there is no door to swing, so a vanity or the bathroom door close by is no longer in the way.
It also suits anyone who finds a door hard to manage. There is nothing to open, so a walk in is a good fit for older people and for anyone with limited mobility. Whether the floor has a step or a hob is decided by how the bathroom is built, not by the screen.
An open shower lets more water travel than a screen with a door. We would rather tell you that now than after the install. Panel width, the position of the shower head and the fall of the floor control it, and we check all three when we measure.

Questions about walk in shower screens
A frameless fixed panel starts from $880 installed. A return panel, a different finish, or a semi frameless or fully framed panel changes the figure, and it comes after we measure. Once we have measured, the price we quote is the price you pay. The measure visit is $55, credited to your install if you go ahead.
It depends on your shower and where the shower head sits, so we decide it at the measure. Standard screen height is 2000mm, and a fixed panel has no door, so the 700mm door limit does not apply.
A little can, because there is no door. Three things control it: the width of the panel and where the shower head sits, the fall of the floor towards the drain, and a tight fit to the wall. We check all three at the measure. If water is escaping after install, tell us and we will look at it.
Yes. A fixed panel can sit on the bath edge as a splash screen for a bath and shower in one. We measure the bath lip and the tap position first. See our over bath shower screens.
Yes, in all three types. Frameless brackets come in matt black as well as chrome, brushed nickel and brass. Semi frameless frames come in matt black too, among six finishes. Fully framed frames come in white, silver and matt black.
The installation itself takes about 2 hours once our installer arrives. We confirm your install date with you after the measure.
